This demonstration of Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow & the Flame allows you to view a self-running demo, or to actually play through the exciting first level of the game. Once you've had a taste, we know you'll be back for more.
To install your Prince of Persia 2: The Shadow & the Flame demo:

Double-click on the "Prince 2 Demo Installer" icon. This will create a new folder on your hard drive labeled "Prince of Persia 2 Demo."

Double-click on the "Prince 2 Demo" icon. You may view the self-running demo, or press the ESC key or the mouse button to play the first level.
Controlling your movements:

Use the keys shown below to control the Prince's movements. Note that certain keys perform different functions when used in conjunction with the SHIFT key.
To run and jump forward: press a key to start running left or right, then, with the running key still depressed, press the 8 key to jump.
To grab onto or hang from ledges: press and hold the SHIFT or CONTROL key. To let go of the ledge, release the key. To climb down from a ledge, step up to the edge, turn around, then press the 5 key.
7, W, U = jump left
8, E, I = jump up/climb up
9, R, O = jump right
4, S, J = run left (+shift key = careful step left)
5, D, K = climb down/crouch
6, F, L = run right (+shift key = careful step right)
Sword fighting:

To draw or strike your sword, press the CONTROL key. To advance or retreat, press the 4 or 6 key. To block your opponent's strike, press the 8 key. To turn around, press 4 or 6 while holding down the SHIFT key. To put away your sword, press 5.
System 7 users:

If the program is not functioning properly, or is running slowly, a system extension may be causing the problem. To turn off extensions: hold down the SHIFT key and restart your Macintosh. When you see the message "Welcome to Macintosh. Extensions off," release the SHIFT key.
Special Keys:

Command-A = Restarts play from the beginning of level 1.
Command-R = Ends the game and returns you to the opening sequence.
Command-Q = Quits the game and returns you to the Finder.
ESC = Pauses the game. Press any other key to resume play.
